Fantastic Friday Update

It is with great sadness that we hear of the death of Her Majesty The Queen. We remember her remarkable and outstanding service to our nation and commonwealth as our sovereign, undertaken with such grace, dedication and humility. United now with her beloved husband, may she rest in peace.

We extend our sincere condolences and thoughts to King Charles III and the Royal Family.

On Monday 19th we will join the Country in remembering her remarkable and outstanding service on the day of her funeral.

A book of condolence has been placed in the Civic Centres across Hertfordshire, so that individuals can write their personal tributes to the Monarch and reflect on her lifetime of service to the country. There is also an online book of condolence on the Royal's Family website and a book of remembrance on the Hertfordshire Lord-Lieutenant's website.

INFORMATION TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS

Anyone wanting to leave a personal tribute to Her Majesty the Queen can use any of the books of condolence placed both at the Civic Centre (opening hours remain unchanged) and at the Cathedral in the Lady Chapel near the main entrance.  There is also an online book of condolence organised by Buckingham Palace and one on the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire’s website.

The City Council is currently arranging, with the assistance of the Cathedral, a place in the City Centre where people can lay floral tributes. Confirmation of the location will be shared on their website in due course.
