Our Employment Support Hub helps job seekers gain skills and experience to be seen by employers. We offer free personalised guidance and resources for your job search, from career exploration to applications.

Our expert team supports CV writing, personal statements, interview prep, valuable networking experience, and more. All helping with your journey towards employment, ensuring you're ready to secure your next role.

If you're facing barriers like lack of internet access, skill gaps, confidence issues, or need help with your CV and personal statements, our Employment Support service is here to assist you.

Our Locations

  • Leeming Road Hub, Borehamwood: Join us every Friday, from 9:30am - 3:45pm, at our Leeming Road Hub (5 Leeming Road, Borehamwood, WD6 4EB). Drop-in available or make an appointment
  • Ver House, Park Street on Monday (by appointment)
  • Caledon Community Centre, London Colney on Thursday (by appointment)
  • Civic Centre, St Albans (by appointment only)
  • Hatfield Job Centre, on Wednesday, 12pm to 1.30pm,  43-45 Town Centre, Hatfield AL10 0JJ  (by appointment)
  • Appointments are available at other venues upon request

We regularly run free training courses to boost people's employability skills:

IT skills for work: In this two-day course, you can build your confidence with computers. You will learn basic computer skills, how to create documents (Word or similar), how to write and update your CV, and email and internet basics. This course is perfect for beginners, job seekers and anyone wanting to improve their IT skills.

Getting the right job: Improve your CV and boost your confidence in interviews to help you get the right job. You will learn how to create a professional CV, learn how to answer common interview questions, and gain tips to impress employers. The course is perfect for beginners, job seekers, and anyone seeking to improve their employability.

A New You: A four day engaging and interactive course that will help you build confidence, feel more in control, more positive about yourself and your future and take steps towards work or a new direction. Practical topics covered are team work, being assertive, how to manage stress and effective communication.
