As we navigate our way through summer, we are inspired by the commitment from our Let’s Give community.

Volunteer registrations are strong, which can only mean one thing, and that is: more charities are benefiting from using the Let’s Give platform to find their perfect volunteer. Let’s Give volunteers continue to make a meaningful change to the lives of those that need it most.

If you have friends or family who are interested in volunteering, we have a session coming up on 23 July, ‘Introduction to Volunteering’. This is a great taster session for anyone who is considering becoming a volunteer but simply wants to know a little more about it.

Celtic Harmony is looking for volunteers to support the day-to-day running of the Prehistory Centre by welcoming visitors, sharing insights about their collection, and ensuring their visitors are engaged. As a Visitor Experience Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in bringing history to life for their guests.

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice is looking for Nordic walking volunteers. This is a face-to-face 6-week programme for participants who are inactive to become active in a gentle way. It is run by a qualified Nordic walking instructor, and you will be supporting participants who are referred into this one-off programme, once a week on Thursdays.

Willow Foundation is looking for someone who can commit to supporting the team on a regular, ongoing basis each week. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic volunteer to join their small, but busy shop team. This role is vital as they are often the main, or first point of contact, with customers. Till operators must offer excellent customer service and have the ability to relate to people in a friendly manner. An ability to multitask is beneficial as till operators may have to answer multiple enquiries while serving customers.

St Albans Good Neighbour Scheme is looking for an experienced IT Specialist who can help them with the support of their new secure internet based on Google Workspace. Tasks would involve supporting their volunteers, updating the websites (public website and an intranet website), extending functionality of spreadsheets and generally keeping an eye on operations.

St Albans Cathedral is looking for welcoming and friendly volunteers to join their Welcome Team. This role plays an integral part in the overall welcome offered at St Albans Cathedral. You will have a large impact on the visitor experience and enjoy high level of interaction with their visitors through answering questions, handing out information, helping in the shop and assisting in the interactive exhibition areas.

H'arts in Mind is an inclusive mental health Arts Charity run by people with lived experience. They support people with mental health or physical health challenges who have an interest in Art. As a trustee with legal experience, you will play a key role in the strategic decision-making of the organisation, ensuring they operate within the law and adhere to best practices in governance. Your legal expertise will be invaluable in providing insight on legal matters, risk management, and compliance to help steer our charity towards continued success and positive impact.

If you wish to take your first steps towards volunteering, this one hour Teams session will aim to answer the how, where, when, why and what of volunteering. The session will cover an understanding of volunteering and its roles, volunteering with benefits, researching volunteering roles and identifying skills. This online session is for anybody who is looking to embark on their volunteering journey.

In this awareness session you will learn how abusers use technology to perpetrate abuse and the risks to victims.

Members of the public would benefit from this session as well as professionals working with victims. This session will also allow you to find out what support is available and how to access it.

This information training session focuses on sexual health and the various issues related to it. It is designed for those who work with people living with sexual health issues, service users within Hertfordshire, community and voluntary groups, corporate businesses, educational organisations, housing providers, local authorities, NHS trusts, youth services, and members of the public.

Herts Vision Loss is looking for volunteers with an empathetic nature who enjoys company and has a current driving licence to help them with transporting some of their service users. They are looking for regular or occasional drivers for transportation of visually impaired people at the request of the charity. Minibus drivers for outings/trips. Minibus drivers must be over 21 and no specific driving qualification is required as the post is a volunteer role.

Can you help Age Concern St Albans for a couple of hours on a Monday or Wednesday to drop off between 9:30am and 10:30am and then take home between 13:30pm and 14:30pm? Age Concern St Albans runs lunch clubs for older people to provide social interaction and combat loneliness. They aim to provide transport to their clients, and they rely on volunteer drivers to help get clients to the clubs. Mileage can be paid for this role.

St Albans Good Neighbour Scheme is looking for volunteer drivers to help out with the service that they provide for their clients in the local community. The process is that the driver collects the client from their home at a prearranged time. The client is then driven to their appointment/destination. After the appointment is completed the client is driven home. In many cases, the driver will need to help the client get to their appointment in the hospital and arrange a process where the client can advise the driver they are ready to go home.

Whether you're a seasoned barista or looking to learn the art of creating the perfect cup of coffee, you can volunteer to help us run our coffee cart and make it a success. You'll have the opportunity to connect with new people, develop various skills and - if you're interested - mentor those who are also eager to learn but find it a bit harder than others.

Whether you're able to give a few hours or more a week, your time and energy will be making a meaningful difference. Every cup you serve will help fuel our programme that supports individuals who are working towards a better future.

We are looking for volunteers to help clients on a neighbourly walk.

We know how beneficial walking can be for the mind and the body, and we want to support as many people in the community as we can to maintain their independence and get same fresh air while doing it. The neighbourly walk service allows volunteers to meet with members of the community who may be elderly, have long-term health conditions, and are feeling lonely, to get outside and back into their community.

We are looking for a friendly and organised Volunteer Centre Admin Assistant to support the volunteer centre. In this role, you will help manage volunteer registrations, maintain accurate records, respond to enquiries, and assist with the coordination of volunteer opportunities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team, has strong administrative skills, and is passionate about supporting community volunteering.
