Making a Difference Volunteer Briefing

With the holidays just around the corner, we are contacting people in the local community to see whether they would like to receive a festive call or visit this year. 

For lots of people, the holidays can be a difficult time and by offering a friendly phone call or a doorstep visit, it allows us to spread some festive cheer to those who would like it. If you would like to support us to do this, get in touch and let us know. We appreciate that it is a busy time of year for lots of people, so even if you have just one afternoon to spare for one phone call, we can help make it possible. While our Festive Get Togethers are still in full swing this week, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has come along. We appreciate you taking the time to attend, sharing your best Christmas jumpers and reflecting on the incredible year that is coming to a close.

Do you want to help give back this Christmas to someone in your local community? 

Each year, we offer friendly Christmas calls and visits to local people who might otherwise not get the opportunity to spend the holiday with their family and friends.

A New You is a four-day training course to help improve your social, money management and communication skills both at home and in your place of work or volunteering. The course covers a range of topics and practical skills.

The Great Winter Show Off promises to be a heartwarming showcase, performed by community members from Trestle's three community groups: Dance Now, Act Up, and Sing Out. It will celebrate creativity, connection, and the power of the performing arts to bring people together. Expect uplifting songs, expressive movement, and playful theatrical moments.
