Training Tuesday

“I am still learning”. Michelangelo said this at the age of 87. Learning has no bounds and as humans we are learning every day. Our learning is continuous and even as we live through our mundane everyday tasks, our learning does not stop.

Shopping can be boring and stressful in these difficult times. Our Shopping on a Budget session will help you shop smarter and look at offers that will help you save money. As part of a nationwide project called Multiply this course is free for adults over 19 years and will also help build confidence around adult numeracy skills. Check out the many dates on offer!

If you love your garments but are unable to wear them as they need mending, join our "Make Do and Mend" course. This in person session will impart participants simple hand sewing skills such as button sewing, hemming and altering at waist, that will enable them to repair much-loved clothes and make them wearable again.

This coming week our awareness sessions focus on the issues surrounding Diabetes, HIV and Dementia. These online sessions will give you a better understanding of these conditions and support one can provide. If you are looking for ideas on how to look after yourself, join in on an engaging webinar which will talk you through the 8 categories of self-care.

As always we look forward to your email sharing suggestions of training you would like to see in the future, and feedback on sessions you have attended.

Continue to stay informed and warm.

Kind regards,
Monita Marwaha
