The first full week of February is going to be an engaging one. We’ll help highlight some of the most important and meaningful campaigns.
Saturday 4th February is "World Cancer Day". This day contributes to the fight against cancer through education and raising awareness encouraging individuals and organisations to take collective action. Find ideas on how you can make a contribution here.
From Monday 6th February Communities1st will be taking part in #RaceEqualityWeek23 – a week where organisations across the country unite in solidarity and action to address race inequality in the workplace. This year’s theme is #ItsEveryonesBusiness. Join us and thousands of other organisations championing diversity and inclusion during this week! You can find out more here .
It's also National HIV Testing Week 2023 (6th-12th February) and on this topic, we’ll be holding an HIV - Awareness and Support session on 10th February run by the fantastic Terence Higgins Trust. Find out more about this campaign here and order your postal test kit now.
As usual, this newsletter offers you a wide range of information and resources, from networks supporting families, to workshops and training, to services which can support you with the cost of living!
Please note that due to flooding our Community Hub, at 5 Leeming Road, Borehamwood is currently closed for repairs. We’re working hard to ensure alternative provision is available for those who need to meet with us as soon as possible but in the meantime please do give us a call at 01727 649930.
Stay safe, warm and have a lovely weekend!
