This is a course for anyone wanting to run or be involved with Inclusive Dance sessions. It's suitable for a wide range of people involved with dance and disabled people, e.g. dance teachers wanting to open their services to all abilities, sports groups and those involved with them, and people with a focus on disability and the care environment.
Funded spaces are available for applicants in Hertfordshire! (Deposit required.)

- We welcome applications from people of any ability and with any impairment to train to lead Inclusive Dance.

You will learn about a variety of disabilities and impairments, as well as basic physiology and mobility aids.

You will learn the fundamentals of instruction techniques, choreography and how to adapt dances in a non-genre-specific format, as well as how to set up and run a group.
To complete this course, you will need:
- Access to a computer or tablet that can connect to the internet
- A recording device (e.g. phone, camera)
- A space in which to perform limited dance movements.
The course is delivered in English - if this is not your first language, it may be necessary to confirm an IELTS score. Accommodations can be made to support most needs; please contact us to discuss any requirements you may have.
This is a blended-learning course. It is delivered online through live group sessions with a trainer and also via our E-Learning platform. A one-hour live group session will be held weekly for eight weeks (term-time only). Each session will cover a module containing theory and/or practice and you are encouraged to discuss the topics covered with fellow students.
What's the price and when can I start?
IDT courses run throughout the year, starting in March and September, with breaks for school holidays. The course is £650 per person, but there are fully-funded spaces and bursaries available.
