I am pleased to be able to share these training opportunities with you. As well as the formal training sessions, we are also offering a series of free awareness sessions which may be useful not only to you and your team members, but also to any volunteers or anyone you may support. Please  feel free to share the link.

Our AGM and Conference is fast approaching. You will shortly be receiving more information and a link to register. The Conference is free and again open to anyone with an interest in the VCSFE sector. There will be a wide range of workshops tailored for volunteers as well as for voluntary sector organisations. This online session is an introduction to full cost recovery and how to apply this knowledge to funding applications. No previous knowledge is needed to attend the course.

Join this session to understand:

• What is meant by full cost recovery
• Your direct costs and overhead costs, and how to factor these into an application
• How to apply the full cost recovery concept to future grant and funding applications.

In this Sustainable Budgets training, you will learn important strategies to achieve financial sustainability for your organisation. The session will cover effective tools and methods to improve your fundraising efforts. You will find out how to identify potential funders who share your mission and explore different ways to diversify your income sources. This approach will give you the knowledge needed to ensure your organisation’s financial stability.

If you wish to take your first steps towards volunteering, this one-hour session will aim to answer the how, where, when, why and what of volunteering. The session will cover an understanding of volunteering and its roles, volunteering with benefits, researching volunteering roles and identifying skills. This in person session is for anybody who is looking to embark on their volunteering journey.

Even small groups need to ensure a board of Trustees is in place. Come to this online session to find out about Trusteeship, as well as how to ensure your group complies with obligations such as policy formulation, safeguarding, and accountability correctly.

Learn about how domestic abuse impacts children and why they should be seen as victims in their own right. The session will also cover the support available. 

Professionals working with children would benefit from this training.

The workshop will tell you about what carbon monoxide is and how it is formed, the sources, signs and symptoms of CO poisoning, how to help prevent it, and what the implications are for you and your clients. It's aimed at front line staff and volunteers from social care, local authorities, NHS, Fire & Rescue Services and the voluntary/community and private sectors.

This information training session focuses on sexual health and the various issues related to it. It is designed for those who work with people living with sexual health issues, service users within Hertfordshire, community and voluntary groups, corporate businesses, educational organisations, housing providers, local authorities, NHS trusts, youth services, and members of the public.
