Fantastic Friday Update

While waiting for cooler temperature to kick in we would like to remind you simple actions that can help in these current hot days:

1. Keep curtains on windows exposed to the sun closed while the temperature outside is higher than it is inside.
2.Water external and internal plants, and spray the ground outside windows with water (avoid creating slip hazards) to help cool the air (however, check local drought water restrictions before using hosepipe).
3. Stay out of the sun (especially between 11am-3pm).
4. Drink lots of water, stay in the shade, wear hats, sunscreen, thin scarves, and light clothing if going outside.

In this newsletter you can find multiple ideas of events that can make this heat more bearable, as events in the parks or playing bowling.

You can find the Healthy Hub on:

- Tuesday 16th, (10am-12pm) at the Phillimore Court in Radlett

- Thursday 18th (10am - 12.30pm) at the Borehamwood Foodbank

- Friday (10am - 12pm) at the Bushey Foodbank .
