Training Tuesday

A stitch in time saves nine. An adage that still holds true and more so in modern times where we are constantly finding ways to live sustainably. Why not celebrate living sustainably by repairing and mending your clothes. Simple hand sewing techniques can make your clothes wearable again and save money and the planet. Join in on our free Make Do and Mend session.

Looking for healthy cooking methods? If you can cook healthy with low fat, preserve nutrients, and save money, why not learn to cook with an Air Fryer. Cooking tips will be provided on this free course along with a chance to taste food cooked in the air fryer. Attending the course will also give you a chance of WINNING an air fryer (eligibility criteria apply). Browse through more Multiply courses via the link Community Learning

Are you working for an organisation in the voluntary sector and would like to make a business plan and don't know how or have one and would like to improve your skills for the next one?  Our Business Planning training will provide you information on content, methods and what a good business plan looks like.

We hope to see you at some of these sessions. We’ll continue to keep you informed through these newsletters! As always, we look forward to hearing your views on our training; what more would you like to see? Send us an email. Enjoy the cool weather!

Garment repair can be painful and expensive. Mending your clothes and upcycling them not only helps save money but also helps reduce long term impacts on the environment.

In this session, participants will learn simple hand sewing techniques such as button sewing, hemming, and altering at waist/length, whilst improving numeracy skills and save money.

No sewing skills are needed. Just bring a garment that needs a simple hand repair, and you will get the opportunity to begin working on it. If they wish, participants may bring their own sewing supplies.
