The weather is getting better, and spring has finally sprung! Celebrate the upcoming Community garden week from 1^st -7^th Apr by enjoying your time outdoors or volunteer at a community garden near you.

This week the training team is at Letchworth delivering a Help your Child love Numbers course. Join in on this fun session on how to improve your child’s confidence in numbers. Incorporating activities and awareness with numbers into everyday task is the best way to engage your child and boost their confidence. An important life skill to develop!

Our Slow Cooker sessions not only demonstrate a new recipe, but you can also taste it, and it also tips on how to shop on a budget!

The Deaf Awareness and basic BSL sessions are back! There are several dates to choose from. The session will cover effective ways to communicate with deaf people and some basic sign language to build your understanding of people living with deafness.

We will continue to strive and bring together learning and skills development that will benefit the progress and development of individuals, organisations and the wider community. As always, we look forward to hearing your views on our training; what more would you like to see? Send us an email.

Introduction to Air Frying

Have an Air fryer or considering buying one? Looking to cook cheaper and healthier? Come along to our cooking with an Air Fryer 3 hour session. Learn to cook with one, add new recipes and learn about the cost savings. Cooking tips will be provided on this free course along with a chance to taste food cooked in the air fryer.

Any Hertfordshire resident aged 19 and over is welcome to attend this course. Participants are eligible for the draw to win an air fryer if they have obtained a D grade or below in their Maths GCSE (or equivalent), or are in receipt of any benefits.

Help Your Child Love Numbers

AWARENESS EVENTS

Deaf Awareness and Basic BSL

Attend this deaf awareness online workshops and learn about effective ways to communicate with deaf people, as well as some basic sign language.

Participant coming to this session will gain the confidence and basic skills to communicate with those who are living with deafness and hearing loss. It will enable them to understand deafness, signs, body positions and communicating.

There will be time for a Q&A time at the end of this session.

Self Care Webinar

An engaging hour-long webinar to present ideas for looking after yourself. The webinar will walk through the eight categories of self-care, discuss how to implement change, and focus on mechanisms to better look after yourself.

TRAINING FOR ORGANISATIONS

Inclusive Dance Training

This course is for anyone wanting to run or be involved with Inclusive Dance sessions. It is suitable for a wide range of people who are involved with dance and disabled people in many ways. This could include dance teachers who wish to open their services to all abilities, those involved with sports and social groups, and people with a focus on disability and the care environment.

The IDT will equip you with the tools you need to start your journey into Inclusive Dance or develop your existing skills

It is imperative that you are able to attend all the dates specified so as not to miss essential information, however should unforeseen circumstances arise then we will be able to record the live session in order for you to catch up. Please note sessions are not normally recorded so you will need to notify us with appropriate warning if you are unable to attend.

The Total fee for the course is £650.00 which will need to be paid in full prior to the course start date. Bursaries are available for Hertfordshire residents (deposit of £50 pounds refundable on completion).

Once we have received your payment in full we will then register you to have access to our eLearning platform and zoom links for the live sessions.

Hertfordshire Mind Network Workshops

- Managing Anxiety Workshop

This online workshop is designed to equip learners with foundational knowledge in how to manage anxiety, providing a deeper understanding of how to support yourself and others.
